The System Management edition of adTempus includes several additional trigger types, which allow adTempus to be used as a system monitoring tool.
For example, using the WMI trigger you can have adTempus execute a job when your disk drive is low on space.
The following "system monitoring" triggers are included:
The Process Trigger lets you run jobs when specified processes start, end, or exceed a specified memory usage limit.
The Event Log Monitor lets you run jobs whenever specified events are logged in the computer's Event Log.
The WMI Event Monitor lets you run jobs in response to WMI events.
The Computer Monitor lets you monitor remote computers and run jobs when they fail.
The Application Exception monitor lets you run jobs in response to application exceptions ("Dr. Watson" errors).
The File Trigger (also included in the base edition) lets you run jobs when specified files are created, modified, or deleted.
