Job Control Action
The Job Control action is used to execute and manipulate jobs and job steps. It can be used to:
- Run, abort, restart, hold, release, or delete a job
- Run or restart a step (in the current or another job)
- Change the status of the job or step that is executing the action
Either the Job Control Action or the Job Trigger can be used to link jobs together in chains. See the How To: Link Jobs Together topic for a comparison of the two approaches.
