Hold Indicators

Groups, Queues, and Jobs can all have various hold types applied to them to prevent certain kinds of job execution. Because hold types are inherited from groups and queues down to jobs, and can sometimes be difficult to determine why a job is held.

You can turn on hold indicators (View > Show Hold Indicators) to get a visual indication of the hold status of each group and queue. When hold indicators are turned on, the Console Tree displays information after the name of each group and queue that has one or more hold type applied. This indicator consists of the prefix "Held:" followed by letters indicating the type of hold:

Indicator Meaning
T The Hold triggers option has been applied to this item
t The Hold triggers option is being inherited by this item (e.g., a higher-level group has this option applied)
C The Prevent chained execution option has been applied to this item
c The Prevent chained execution option is being inherited by this item (e.g., a higher-level group has this option applied)
M The Prevent manual execution option has been applied to this item
m The Prevent manual execution option is being inherited by this item (e.g., a higher-level group has this option applied)
* Indicates that the preceding trigger option can be overridden at a lower level

Examples:

If no indicator appears, after the name, that item is not held (and, for groups, none of its parent groups are held, either)
