public enum ProcessPriority

Fields

AboveNormalPriority = 32768

Process that has priority above NormalPriority but below HighPriority

BelowNormalPriority = 16384

Process that has priority above IdlePriority but below NormalPriority.

HighPriority = 128

Process that performs time-critical tasks that must be executed immediately for it to run correctly

Process that performs time-critical tasks that must be executed immediately for it to run correctly. The threads of a high-priority class process preempt the threads of normal or idle priority class processes. Use extreme care when using the high-priority class, because a high-priority class CPU-bound application can use nearly all available cycles.

IdlePriority = 64

Process whose threads run only when the system is idle and are preempted by the threads of any process running in a higher priority class.

An example is a screen saver. The idle priority class is inherited by child processes.

NormalPriority = 32

Process with no special scheduling needs (default).

RealtimePriority = 256

Process that has the highest possible priority

Seriously don't ever use this you will crash the system.

Remarks

See the Windows API documentation for the GetPriorityClass function for more information on values.
